The hardware picker writes one JSON record to localStorage on this device. Choosing a GPU does not create an account and does not send that choice anywhere.

The optional browser hint reads the WebGPU adapter name, if the browser exposes it, and only uses it to pre-select a row. It does not include VRAM, and it is not stored on a server.

Alert signup is separate. If you submit the form on a configured deployment, we store the email, the hardware profile, and whether you want a weekly digest. A confirmation link has to be clicked before mail is sent. Every future message needs its own unsubscribe link. There is no password.

Until Resend and Cloudflare D1 are configured, the dev server writes signups to a local data/subscribers.json file, and a production build without those secrets refuses to store the address. The form then keeps the signup in this browser so you can see the flow.

Measured tok/s notes stay in localStorage too. They are not uploaded.
